Almost 8,000 of US people who received a vaccine against cervical cancer reported about serious side effects, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said.
Gardasil is a vaccine that helps
protect against 4 types of human papillomavirus (HPV) that cause cervical cancer and genital warts. It was given around 2.2 million doses of the vaccine in 2006 and 11.3 million on 2007 in the US.
