Chopping Board that Watches Over Your Portions

Sep 05, 2011
Eating healthy can be tricky for many of us. What should you eat? How much should you eat during one meal? The RDA Interactive Chopping Board designed by Sam Gough knows the answers, measuring your food portions for healthier eating.

The innovative chopping board is equipped with LED lights, to tell you about the proper serving size and other information. The RDA Interactive chopping board calculates the portion size recognizing the type of the food that lies on its surface with the help of special in-built sensors. The board is programmed on how much vegetables or meat you should be eating. The health gadget evaluates the portion size based on the natural fall of the food and the color of the food. Let's say chopping a vegetable will be different from chopping meat. By the way, the chopping board can be used on both sides, one for vegetables and other for meat and fish to prevent cross-contamination.

The user can also change the data in the board. You can adjust, who will need the serving size, an adult or a child, using the buttons on the side of the board.
