Deskmate is a health gadget that lets you exercise different muscle groups while you are sitting at the desk. The device can be attached to any desk to work out your arms, shoulders, chest, wrists and back, i.e. those muscles that typically get tense during prolonged sitting at the computer. The Compatix company that released Deskmate claims that the device can burn calories, relieve stress and reduce fatigue. You can do your regular work routine, like typing, reading or talking on the phone and simultaneously exercise your body.

It is enough to exercise from 5 to 20 minutes a day to feel better physically and mentally. Though the manufacturer of the Deskmate says that it won't replace the gym workout, it can certainly increase your energy level, strengthen and tone your muscles even if you have to lead a sedentary lifestyle.
