Sperm is produced in the testes in the small structures called
epididymis. During sexual arousal, the muscles push sperm from these structures through a tube called vas deferens. Here the sperm is mixed with other fluids, such as those from the prostate gland, the seminal vesicles and the Cowper's gland that all make up semen.
Only one percent of the semen is actually sperm, the rest is fructose, amino acids, vitamin C, calcium, protein, sodium, zinc and citric acid.

When you use basal body temperature (BBT) method, you need to track the BBT every day at the same time every morning during your menstrual cycle. At the beginning of the menstrual cycle the basal body temperature is usually low, and then it can be a small drop of temperature followed by sharp rise by 0.4-1.0 degrees. This rise indicates that ovulation has occurred. After that the temperature will stay high for the rest of the cycle and drop before your periods.
