When is the best time to check your blood pressure?

Sep 15, 2011
It is known that blood pressure readings can be different throughout the day. Usually it is recommended to check your blood pressure twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening for about three times. But keep in mind that blood pressure tends to be the highest in the morning, right after waking up. That's why it is a better idea to check it an hour or so after waking up, but before exercising.
Also food, smoking, exercising, medicines can also affect your blood pressure, so it is better to avoid them half an hour before taking your blood pressure.
