New App Checks You Skin Condition

Jun 06, 2012
If you want to make sure your skin looks healthy and young, there is an app that helps you do your regular face check-ups. How many times did you hear that a new face cream reduces wrinkles in two weeks by 70 percents or so? Now is the time to find out the truth.

Japanese company Fujitsu Laboratories came up with the Color Frame that analyzes your skin condition using your smartphone and small color wheel. You have to place the Color Frame on your skin to match the lightning conditions and take four photos of your skin. The app checks three factors of skin condition: dullness, spots and pore size.

Thus you can monitor the progress of your beauty regimen and any fluctuations that occur when you change your diet or start using new skin product.

For now the app is suitable for Japanese women, but company wants to include a wider range of skin tones.
