Pregnancy Test to Tell when Conception Occurred

Jun 01, 2009
Clearblue Digital Pregnancy Test with Conception Indicator is an innovative home pregnancy test that was designed not only to tell if you are pregnant but also indicate when conception occurred.

The new home pregnancy test released by Clearblue uses Smart Dual Sensor technology that estimates the level of pregnancy hormone. Common pregnancy tests detect the presence of hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) hormone produced during pregnancy. The Clearblue Digital Pregnancy Test with Conception Indicator has two sensors to reveal the presence of hCG hormone and the level of this hormone to show when conception occurred.

How to use the Clearblue Digital Pregnancy Test with Conception Indicator

  • Place the absorbent sampler of the test in your urine for 20 seconds

  • Once the test is activated, which can be seen on the LCD display screen that shows that the test is working, wait for 3 minutes to have the results

  • If you are pregnant, the test will show "pregnant" or 'not pregnant" results

  • The conception Indicator will show the approximate number of weeks that have occurred since conception: 1-2 weeks, 2-3 weeks or more than 3 weeks ago.

This home pregnancy test is claimed to be 99% precise from the day the period should occur. Now you do not need to doubt whether the lines on your home pregnancy test indicate pregnancy or you've just performed the test wrong. The display of the Clearblue Digital Pregnancy Test with Conception Indicator shows the clear results in words. Also if you are really impatient to know the results of the home pregnancy tests you can use it as early as 4 days before your period is due.

HCG hormone and pregnancy test

When an implantation of the fertilized egg occurs, the female body starts producing HCG hormone. In most pregnancies the concentration of the hCG hormone will double every 48 to 72 hours.

The common pregnancy test can identify the presence of hCG in the urine around two weeks after conception. The highest concentration of this hormone is seen on 8 to 11 week of pregnancy. The concentration of hCG more than 25mIU/ml will indicate that the pregnancy has occurred. Usually, at 3 weeks of gestational age, the level of hCG hormone is around 5 - 50 mIU/ml, while at 7 - 8 weeks from last menstrual period the level is as high as 7, 600 to 230,000 mIU/ml.
