Smart Fabric Delivers Medicine Via Skin

Nov 02, 2011
Holistic health becomes a widely popular trend in many countries. That's why the innovative textile company designed a new fabric that can deliver therapeutic medicines transdermally.

iLoad is a new textile technology that allows it to be loaded with therapeutic substances. The fabric developed by Swiss company Schoeller Textil, means intelligent loading, release, washing and reloading. It consists of a base fabric that also has special donor layer, covering every fiber. During the loading process, which takes just a few minutes and can be performed using the rinse program of the washing machine, the donor layer attracts the specific emulsion with necessary therapeutic substances.

The medicine will then be released via the skin through warmth, vibration, moisture and perspiration.

During the next washing any remaining emulsion will be washed away, and you can reload it with new substances.
