Do you want to get pregnant fast and have a healthy pregnancy? It's time to include zinc in your fertility diet.

New study revealed that in order to produce the best egg for fertilization, a woman needs great amounts of zinc. Alison Kim, a leading author of the study and a specialist in obstetrics and gynecology at Northwestern University said that zinc play an important role in the development of a healthy egg and this may help to produce the best eggs for fertility treatment.

Kim and her colleagues conducted the study on mice and found that eggs require zinc and obtain a 50 percent increase in zinc content to become mature for fertilization. It appears that zinc is a key factor that helps the egg to fully develop and become fertilized later on.

It is known that zinc plays an essential role for men's and women's health. The best natural sources of zinc are beef, oysters, lamb, turkey, chicken, salmon, milk, cheese, peanuts, whole grains, pumpkin seeds and others. Also if you are a vegetarian, you will probably have less zinc, because of the poorer absorption of the zinc from vegetables and grains.

To increase the absorption of zinc, you may need to take zinc together with other vitamins such as Vitamin C, Vitamin E and Vitamin B6, as well as magnesium.
